Founded by Dr Lee Ka Kit, Peter, Chairman of the Group, and funded by the Lee Shau Kee Foundation, the nonprofit chain store, Home Market celebrated its eleventhyear anniversary in 2023. Home Market sells affordable daily necessities and quality food at near wholesale prices to the underprivileged. Currently there are sixteen branches across the city, including three additional branches in 2023, Home Market hopes to promote its core values of being caring, inclusive and considerate by extending its business and services to more districts as well as collaborating with more local sectors and NGOs.

Transitional Housing
To alleviate the hardship faced by families living in adverse conditions while waiting for public housing, Henderson Land has been an active supporter of the transitional housing initiative. We have employed a highly efficient and environmentally friendly building approach, the Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) method, which shortens construction time and minimised the waste generated during the construction process.

Transitional housing projects
The Group firmly believes in a collaborative approach to eliminate subdivided units and improve living standards for lowincome families in Hong Kong. Henderson Land is the first developer in Hong Kong to support the HKSAR Government’s transitional housing initiatives. As part of the initiative, the Group has offered land and temporary vacant units in both urban areas and the New Territories to relieve the pressure on those with urgent housing needs.

Donations for the relief efforts of the extreme flooding in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and Northeast China as well as earthquake in Gansu
In response to the catastrophic rainfall and flooding in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and Northeast China, the Lee Shau Kee Foundation officially allocated a donation of RMB20 million. This endowment was directed to the China Charity Federation via the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“LOCPG”). Also, the Lee Shau Kee Foundation donated RMB20 million through LOCPG to the mainland, for the earthquake relief in Gansu. LOCPG expressed the gratitude for our generous contributions.
