Green for Planet
Engaging our Residents in the Recycled Plastic Christmas Tree Programme
To raise awareness of waste management among our employees and residents, Hang Yick and Well Born rolled out the Recycled Plastic Christmas Tree Programme in December 2022 across all the residential properties that they manage. Not only did the Christmas trees add colour and joy to the festive season, they also served to educate our residents about upcycling by showing the concept in action.
We collected 13,380 used plastic bottles from residents, they were then screened, sanitised and decorated by our employees before being transformed into a total of 83 sparkly Christmas trees to be decorated around the properties.
In future, the Group will continue to seek opportunities to create impact and awareness by collaborating with stakeholders on different waste management initiatives.
