Henderson Land has committed to set near-term and net-zero targets in line with the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi)

Following our announcement in December 2022 committing to set near-term science-based targets, we are pleased to share that Henderson Land has submitted both near-term and net-zero targets for validation by SBTi.

In achieving these targets, the Group will reduce its Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions through a series of energy management initiatives in our managed assets and sourcing low carbon materials in our projects. The Group will report progress against the targets annually.

The SBTi is a collaborative effort by the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the World Resources Institute (WRI), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), seeking to provide a framework for businesses to participate in science-based target setting consistent with the Paris Agreement. The Paris Agreement aims at keeping the rise in global temperature to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and at pursuing efforts to further limit global warming to 1.5°C.
