Climate-Related Management Incentives

Sustainability has always been at the core of our group. In addition to adopting innovative methods, technologies, and solutions to drive sustainability efforts, we encourage employees within the group to join us in achieving our sustainable development vision by 2030. In order to raise awareness among employees regarding climate issues, we provide climate-related management incentives to our staff.

We have introduced a range of energy-saving initiatives within our properties to align with our energy reduction goals. Our targets include reducing the energy intensity of our Hong Kong property portfolio by 20% relative to the 2019 baseline year, and attaining a cumulative reduction of 10% in electricity consumption for our mainland China portfolio compared to the 2021 baseline year by 2030.

In order to acknowledge the contributions of our employees in the areas of energy conservation and emissions reduction, our management make a point of recognizing the dedicated efforts of individual employees, the sustainability working group, and associated teams. This recognition takes place during internal communication events such as regular meetings.

Furthermore, we offer up to two days of community service leave for all employees who take part in the group's volunteer work. Our volunteer work encompasses a diverse range of areas, one of which includes climate change and environmental protection. Examples of such activities include tree planting, coastal or hiking trail cleanups, and guided eco-tours.
